Why isn't it Friday yet?

Hey everybody, another day down. School was pretty good, and parking wasn't as horrid as usual. Chem is going well, and I like the teacher, Colin. He seems pretty young, and very down-to-earth Boulderite-ish. My math teacher is another subject; she's a batty lady that should've been a Kindergarten teacher. You know the type: short strait gray hair, decorative dress, and interactive assignments that involve pipe cleaners. She's very friendly and thorough, but we are getting nowhere fast.

Work was very good tonight. I felt very comfortable and natural on the phone until a certain call after lunch. A lady called in, obviously overworked, underpaid, and very upset. I did a good job of calming her down, but wasn't able to do much. She kept claiming that she was a fraud victim, and the Buddy on duty kept saying to just get her off the call. C-Bass, the Travel Pod Coach came back and stepped in. In the end, we found out that she had been majorly ripped off by a retailer. We were able to get her money back to her and report the retailer, and I feel very good about the end result, but I'm still pretty shaken by the call. I told the buddy that she was claiming fraud, and all he wanted to do was get her off. Oh well, he's human too.

I think its time for a good sleep. Night all!

It's definitely time for the day to end. Work was...

It's definitely time for the day to end. Work was interesting, and Travel Pod wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I took quite a few calls, and I had no clue where to start on only a couple of them! I was monitored by QA for the first time, and I got a 90%. I'm happy about it. The situation could've been better, but if QA only monitored your best calls no one would ever get a bad score.

I'm ready for bed. And I miss Ashley already. When does this life thing get easier? night all.

Fisrt Post!

Hey everybody, Jackie gave me the great idea of using a blog (web-log) for my day-to-day updates! You gotta love Jackie sometimes. I don't know that I'll be able to say everything in these posts and keep it content appropriate for friends, family, and everybody, but hopefully I can find the happy medium.

Anyway, for today, I've already had Spanish class. It was alright, but the teacher is very... random. I'm glad I've taken Spanish before or I'd never understand a thing that she said. The first couple days of her class were very slow, and today she was going "90 miles a minute" as a classmate put it.

As for the afternoon, I'm still in training at Echostar. At least now we'll be out on the floor, in "Travel Pod." Before now we've been mostly in the classroom with about 2 hours on the phones a night. From now on we'll be on the phones, but with a lot of supervision. It should be interesting to say the least; I'm looking forward to it, but then again, thats a lot of talking. I'll probably update after work just for gits and shiggles... Its off to work I go!
